Pool Services
Weekly Maintenance
A swimming pool must be serviced at least once a week. To maintain a pool clean, it must be vacuumed weekly and chemicals must be added accordingly. By chemicals, we don’t just mean chlorine tablets. There is literally a plethora of chemicals that are involved in keeping a swimming pool looking pristine. Soda ash, sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, calcium hypochlorite, muriatic acid, algaecide (copper sulphate), cyanuric acid, and other chemicals are needed to have a pool properly balanced. Each visit, we supply all the chemicals, skim the surface with a net, clean out the skimmer baskets, vacuum, check equipment for leaks and brush. It’s not just chlorine and pH levels with us. We test alkalinity and calcium hardness as well. And, contrary to the competition, we use only top brand chemicals. We will be there week after week, and if we miss you, we always leave a door-hanger so you know we were there.
Start-Ups
If you just had a pool built, or re-plastered your current pool, the Start-Up is a process that comes as soon as the pool with the new finish is completely filled with water. We are experts in acid-curing new plaster finishes and balancing the chemistry so you can start swimming right away. This step is highly imperative because if you skip it, scale and discoloration will start occurring on the new plaster almost immediately. Don’t shoot yourself on the foot; call us, your humble professionals, to cure your plaster and to perform the initial chemistry balance. Standard white plasters are a 3-day process, while color, pebble, and Diamond Brite plasters require a 5-day process.
Replastering
If your pool plaster looks like the surface of the moon, you’re in dire need of a new plaster surface! Upgrade to a new standard white plaster. Or, better yet, choose a special finish like Diamond Brite or Stonescapes mini pebble—in the color of your choice—to match your deck and/or house. Our crew typically gets the job done in a day: we drain the pool, chip off old plaster, apply the new plaster “free hand”, and leave your pool filling back up with water. Don’t forget to consider new tile and a multi-colored pool light to ‘wow’ your friends and family at night!
Repairs
Wet underneath your equipment? Call us. Your pool equipment works with high water pressure everyday, it only makes sense that gaskets and seals go bad from time to time. Sometimes, PVC needs to be installed, or a new valve handle. We are proud to offer you solutions to have your equipment running in optimal condition. We install pumps, new time clocks, new filters, new lights, new cleaners, and all equipment related to swimming pools. Sometimes, you don’t need a new filter; you may just a dirty filter that needs to be cleaned. We are experts in cleaning out D.E. filters, changing filter media in sand filters, and cleaning cartridge filters. D.E. filters need to be cleaned out completely at least once a year, and cartridge filters every six months. Sand filters every 5 years.
